Show transcript — Trade Show Flooring: Foam, Carpet & Faux Wood Tiles

0:08 — Introduction to interlocking flooring

Welcome to the Trade Show Joe video series. I'm Dan Riley, and today we're talking about interconnecting carpet tiles.

Flooring is an integral part of a trade show booth. When you arrive at a show, you may have the opportunity to rent carpet, buy a roll of carpet, or work with a tile or concrete floor. Today I'll explain our interlocking flooring options.

0:42 — Carpet and foam tile options

These tiles are available in different colors and surface finishes, in a two-by-two-foot configuration. The navy blue sample shown is ComfortCarpet Plush Series, a plush, commercial-grade carpet.

We also have the same type of tile in foam, called ComfortTile. The tiles demonstrated are 5/8 inch thick. You can lay out a floor in sizes divisible by two feet, such as 10 by 10, 12 by 12, or 20 by 20 feet. The different colors suit a variety of booth designs.

2:04 — Edge, corner and interior pieces

The tiles shown come in three configurations. An edge tile has a finished edge for the outside perimeter of the booth.

A corner tile has a rounded corner and two finished edges. These pieces go at the four corners of a square or rectangular booth.

An interior tile has puzzle connections on all four sides, allowing other pieces to connect above, below and on either side.

3:02 — Faux wood finishes

In addition to carpet and foam flooring, we have a faux wood series. The sample shown is from the ComfortTile Designer Series, available at the time of this recording in dark oak, light oak and walnut finishes.

When assembled, the tiles have an authentic wood appearance, with grain running in a consistent direction. This option has become popular alongside the traditional foam and carpet tiles.

4:04 — Modular design, reuse and shipping

Trade Show Joe's interlocking flooring is modular. You can build a large or small booth using the same components.

It can also be economical. In the comparison described in this video, buying flooring could often compare favorably with renting carpet over two or three shows, depending on the rental charges.

The flooring shown is described as durable, cut resistant and resistant to indentations. Tiles stack into a compact case in a two-by-two-foot configuration and can ship by ground service to trade shows.
